Ghetto Fabulous

The pictures from the Graceland chapel that we ordered finally arrived! Excitement! Here is the most killer of all photos. Klassy. Wouldn't you know it that the inside of the chapel would be all champagne gold, just like my dress?
That would be Minister Elvis and us in front of the alter.

Oh yeah...

There was something pretty cool that I did see in Vegas which was out of the norm.. I mean how often do you come across a tranformer, right? It was huge!

Minor Highlights

When we walked into Caesar's Palace one lovely afternoon, the fire alarm went off. I, of course, freaked out, thinking the building was going to collapse. Here is my mum and dad looking bewildered as the flashing lights and horns started to go off. I suggested we stay close to the main exit in case of an emergency evacuation. Everyone else said I was crazy.

And no Vegas trip would be complete without taking the famous shot in front of the Bellagio fountain. (Yes I know that is mighty cheeseball of me). Unfortunately, due to high winds, the fountain show did not happen that night. Bummer.

Before the O show, my family and I decided to check out the gift shop, where we succeeded in fooling around with the merchandise and taking pictures without any attendant kicking us out. Here is a shot of me with some sweet pair of shades.

My it's so BIG...

I thought I'd dedicate a post to the mighty Grand Canyon since I went snap-happy CRAZY on our helicoptor ride. It was a killer experience; and my first time riding a heli! We took a tour that landed inside the canyon, and made a quick gas station stop in the desert. The whole tour only took 3 hours! Words really can't describe the awesomeness of the canyon, nor do pictures give it justice. We had blue skies when we set off from Vegas, but ended up with a few rolling clouds. The pilot was really excited when it started to rain at a low altitude, cuz as he says, it never happens. I guess we were lucky??

What would have been a 2 hour car ride was a 20 minute helicopter ride into the canyon. Yes I'm sure there is yet another feel to climb down the canyons, but heck! I don't like exercise. :) I gotta say, good bang for the buck!

Las Vegas Part Trois

It really bursts a bubble when you get home from a destination like Las Vegas only to be greeted by cold, white snow. Ah~ reality. Looking back on the wedding, we had killer weather and beautiful blue skies. It couldn't have been more picture perfect! I am anxious to get the photos we took with Elvis inside the chapel (there was no photography allowed) - which will arrive in approximately 2-3 weeks.

After the wedding, the family gathered together for a dinner @ Emeril's (BAM!
), and then we were off to go see the wonderful Tom Jones. He didn't look like himself with all that grey hair, but he sounded the same. FANTASTIC. Other highlights include the "O" (Cirque de Soleil) @ the Bellagio, and a helicopter ride to the Grand Canyon. Epic.

Las Vegas Part Deux

Due to the uber expensivo Wi-Fi @ the hotel, I have not had the chance to update the blog as frequently as I would have liked to. So sorry! We will be flying back tomorrow, so I will start massive uploads as soon as I get home. Two more pix for now from the wedding. And for those skeptics still out there, it was NOT an April Fool's joke! :) Gotcha though.

Yup, it's for real guys.

Here are the rings to prove it!

WE'VE FINALLY DONE IT!!

For those of you I lied to, forgive me! I wanted to keep it sooo very very quiet until the very end. I would have hated myself to ruin it at the eleventh hour. NEway, behold, the lovely Mrs. Kawamura!! We are in Las Vegas BABY~ staying at the lush Wynn Encore hotel. We're here with just family - small and intimate wedding - more pictures to come. Enjoy for now!

Fantastic!

The unveiling is upon us, but I wanted to share some nice shots I took of where I am. Where? You'll soon find out. Here's some clues:
