Me got nails!

I got my nails done for the first time, and I gotta say, I could get used to this. Though the salon that I had reserved a manicure with actually LOST my appointment. HOW?! I ended up at the mall at a small little walk-in nail salon (with smell and all). I got to watch either Nascar or Saved by the Bell with really bad reception. Quite daunting for a first experience, but a fruitful one nonetheless. But who can complain when you've got Zach and A.C. Slater? French manicures are cute!

My dinky little hand

Other than hanging with my sister and brother-in-law, I took some awfully cute pictures of my kitties I'd like to share. My oldie tabby is officially butt-buddies with Shiro! yeah!

And here is my sleepy little princess:

The infamous vet visit

I took all three of my cats to the vet the other day. The weight was hassle enough to take all three. In light of some bad news (the tabby has an eye infection), I also found out the two kittens were half burmese! I had gotten word from the foster mother that she though they had some siamese blood...but apparently that was wrong.

This is a picture of some purebred Burmese babies. I see the similarity.

Here is a small description of a burmese cat and its characteristics:

As kittens, Burmese are quite lively. They often seem clumsy whe
n they attempt feats beyond their capabilities and land on their rears with solid little thumps. They will be playful well into adulthood. As Burmese grow, their high intelligence emerges and their own individual personalities start to unfold. They mature into charming, resolute executives who move in and take over a household, running it efficiently with those big eyes and a velvet paw. If encouraged, many Burmese converse with their humans, using soft, sweet voices.

I am looking forward to them being this playful well into adulthood. Oi!

A new pair of shoes

I never realized how difficult it is to match a pair of shoes to a dress. But I feel like all the effort was worthwhile. Here is my first pair of fancy shoes I bought over the weekend. They will be matching a champagne gold knee-length evening dress.
I've been trying them on and walking around the house to get used to the approximately 3 inches of heels. The blisters on my foot tell tales of my effort. y'ouch.

A Beautiful day!

This morning is starting on a good note. I'm feeling better, and it's gorgeous outside!
Even my cats are agreeing:

It's actually a big deal to see these two cats together. The tabby, being 14 years old, is only tolerant to the arrival of the new kittens. He's a stubborn fellow, but both their curiosity got the best of them.

My first post

I've decided to start this blog to introduce myself to a web-friendly audience. What better way to spend a day with a cold than in front of a computer in the comforts of my own home? Yes, spring is just around the corner, and I am home with the sneezy. But it's not all bad news. I get to spend some quality time with my three adorable kitties.
Here's a look:

From the left - the big old tabby, Tono. Shiro in the center, and Kuro on the right.
The white and black ones are 1-year old kittens we recently adopted.
